KERN Helsinki
At KERN Helsinki Oded Ezer is the keynote speaker. Embracing his design style, the poster includes a CT scan of the inner ear to reference the conference's main activity: listening. To connect the CT scan to the design, an ampersand says “and more,” suggesting there is more to see at the conference. The decision is intentional to use a limited color palette. This unifies and strengthens the iconography of the poster.
Imatation Not Duplication
To embrace the aesthetic of Oded Ezar, I took the opportunity to experiment with the typeface for the conference. Oded Ezar embraces biotechnology and type, creating “animal type” sculptures.
